Last updated: 16/07/2026

DriveThruDynamics LTD (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the BusBypass service (“Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you use the Service. By using BusBypass, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. What we collect

We collect the following information when you use BusBypass:

  • Account information: email address, name (if provided), and operator subscription details, collected via Supabase Auth and our subscription system.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, generated driver briefings, map interactions, and diagnostic logs, used to improve the Service and fix issues.
  • Payment information: handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or bank details on our servers.
  • Closure and route data you input: any custom closures, time windows, or notes you add are stored so they can be displayed in your session and shared within your team.

2. How we use your data

We use the data we collect to:

  • authenticate you and manage operator subscriptions;
  • display route and closure data relevant to your subscribed operators;
  • generate and store driver briefing PDFs for your operational use;
  • process payments and manage billing through Stripe;
  • improve the Service, monitor uptime, and investigate errors; and
  • communicate with you about your account, service updates, or billing.

3. Legal basis for processing

For users in the UK and EEA, we process personal data on the basis of:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the Service and your operator subscriptions.
  • Legitimate interests: to improve the Service, prevent fraud, and keep the Service secure.
  • Consent: where required, for example for marketing communications.
  • Legal obligation: where we are required to comply with applicable law.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the Service:

  • Supabase: for authentication and database hosting.
  • Stripe: for payment processing.
  • Cloudflare / hosting: for serving the Service and edge caching.

We may also disclose data if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of DriveThruDynamics LTD, our users, or others.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or stop using the Service, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days unless we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes. Aggregated usage statistics and operational logs may be retained for longer in anonymised form.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords managed by Supabase Auth, and row-level access controls in the database. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to object to processing or request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Cookies and tracking

BusBypass uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics, if used, are limited to operational diagnostics and do not track you across other websites.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
