Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BusBypass application and services (the “Service”) operated by DriveThruDynamics LTD (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By signing in, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

BusBypass is an internal operations tool for bus traffic offices and dispatch teams. It cross-references live and planned road closure data against bus routes in the Cambridge area to help operators identify impacts and produce driver briefings. The Service is intended for professional use by authorised staff of bus operating companies and their agents only.

2. Accounts and access

You must create an account to access gated features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Access to operator-specific route and closure data is controlled by subscription or admin status. We may suspend or terminate access if we suspect unauthorised use or sharing of credentials.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Operator subscriptions are quoted and billed per operator. Pricing is provided on request. Subscriptions are managed through Stripe, and we will send a secure checkout link after a quote is accepted. You may cancel at any time using the receipt link or by contacting us. No refunds are guaranteed for partial billing periods unless required by law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful internal operational purposes. You must not:

  • share account access with anyone outside your organisation;
  • use the Service to distribute driver briefings or data to the public unless you have the right to do so;
  • scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract our underlying route or closure datasets in bulk;
  • interfere with the Service or its infrastructure; or
  • use the data to make safety-critical decisions without independent verification.

BusBypass is a decision-support tool, not a primary source of truth for road or traffic law. You remain responsible for confirming diversions and closures through official channels.

5. Data and third-party sources

The Service aggregates data from public and third-party sources such as local council roadwork notices, National Highways, and the Bus Open Data Service (BODS). We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of this data. Source providers may change terms, availability, or format without notice, which may affect the Service.

6. Intellectual property

The BusBypass name, logo, software, and generated driver briefings are owned by DriveThruDynamics LTD or its licensors. You may use generated briefings for your own internal operational purposes but may not resell, redistribute, or publicly republish them without permission.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DriveThruDynamics LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100 if you have not paid.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, all rights granted to you will cease immediately.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
